TOWSON, MD. — The rivalry lives on!
On Saturday, the “Battle for Greater Baltimore” waged on at the Johnny Unitas Stadium against longtime rivals the Towson Tigers and the Morgan State Bears, with the Tigers taking the win 14-9.
More than 8,000 folks flocked to Towson’s stadium for their dwelling opener.

The first quarter began off sturdy for the Morgan State Bears, taking an early lead with a 40-yard subject objective kick from Beckett Leary. However, a five-yard TD move to Towson’s Sam Reynolds and a profitable subject objective kick put the Tigers forward with a 7-3 lead.
Later in the first half, one other landing from the Tigers widened the hole much more, with working again Christopher Watkins’ six-yard TD run adopted by a kick for the further level, making the rating 14-3.
However, the Bears didn’t go down with out a combat. In the remaining half of the recreation, quarterback Tahj Smith threw a 74-yard landing move to Joseph Kennerly. However, the subject objective for the further level was blocked.
Final Score: Towson – 14 Morgan State – 9
Towson’s subsequent recreation is against Villanova at 2:30 p.m. in Philadelphia.
