Expedia says Rathi Murthy and Sreenivas Rachamadugu, respectively its CTO and senior vp of core companies product & engineering, are not employed on the journey reserving company.
In an announcement shared with Bloomberg and elsewhere, Expedia stated Murthy and Rachamadugu are “not employed at Expedia Group” resulting from an unspecified “violation of company coverage.”
“We’re actively looking out to fill these roles and stay assured in our know-how, technique, and staff,” the company stated. “Due to confidentiality, we won’t be making any additional feedback on the matter.”

Murthy’s and Rachamadugu’s departures look like surprising. Murthy spoke to TechCrunch in regards to the new AI-powered options introduced earlier this week, and he or she reportedly gave a presentation on these options at an Expedia convention with enterprise companions.
They each joined Expedia in 2021, coming from TechCrunch’s then-parent company Verizon Media (now Yahoo).
This isn’t the company’s solely current management change. Ariane Gorin, who was introduced as Expedia Group’s new CEO in February, formally took over this week.
