LINTHICUM, Md. — BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport will raise its parking rates for the primary time in 15 years, beginning in July.
The airport introduced immediately that each day parking rates will change significantly.
The hourly storage will cost a most of $30 per day (up from the present $22 per day); the each day storage will enhance to $16 per day (up from $12 per day); specific parking shall be $14 per day (up from $10 per day); long-term parking shall be $11 per day (up from $8 per day); and the BWI rail station storage shall be $12 per day (up from $9 per day).
The rates go into impact July 1.
The airport stated the rates “will stay very aggressive” with main airports nationwide.
The further income shall be used to enhance the parking service. The airport notes {that a} new steering system is being put in in the hourly storage, eight new electrical buses are being added to the shuttle fleet, and lighting enhancements are being put in alongside the terminal roadway.
A parking reservation system can also be in the works.
