The Howard County Chapter of Moms for Liberty is focusing on 46 books that they are saying include sexually specific photographs for elimination from Howard County Public School System media facilities.
Lisa Geraghty, president of the Chapter, mentioned the marketing campaign is just not restricted to those books, however will ultimately develop to incorporate books containing sexually specific language, in addition to gender-related and different ideologies that her group “completely doesn’t agree with.”
The challenge sparked a protest from book ban opponents who disrupted the Howard County Chapter’s February assembly, which was held on the Central Branch of the Howard County Library System and featured speaker Jessica Garland, who led the Carroll County effort as vice chair of the M4L Carroll County Chapter.
“I needed protestors to return as a result of they’re believing a media narrative that’s fully false,” Geraghty mentioned of the venue selection. “I needed to coach them on (our positions) and thought we might have the ability to discover some frequent floor.”
