Mild and mostly sunny for Monday with temps in mid 50’s

Updated: 5:47 AM EDT Mar 25, 2024

WE’RE TAKING A LIVE LOOK AT ANNAPOLIS, AN AREA THAT COULD DEAL WITH A LITTLE BIT OF COASTAL FLOODING AS WE HEAD INTO THIS MORNING AND HIGH TIDE JUST AFTER 6:00 IN THE MORNING. SO THAT’S AN AREA WE’LL BE WATCHING RIGHT ALONG THE COASTLINE OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY. OTHERWISE, WE’LL SHOW YOU A CHECK AT TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA AND REALLY ACROSS THE STATE. IT’S PRETTY CHILLY IN THE SUBURBS. AND THESE ARE AREAS WHERE WE COULD DEAL WITH SOME FROSTY CONDITIONS. THOSE LOCATIONS THAT ARE CLOSER TO 32 DEGREES, IT’S 32 AT BWI MARSHALL, 27 IN WOODSTOCK, 36 IN WESTMINSTER, 33 IN HEREFORD, AND TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE 30S ON THE EASTERN SHORE, CHECKING OUT THE NEXT 12 HOURS, AND WE’LL CLIMB INTO THE MID 50S AS WE HEAD INTO THIS AFTERNOON. SO THAT IS GOING TO BE QUITE PLEASANT. A REALLY NICE SPRING DAY IN STORE WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AT THAT, AND WE’LL HAVE A VERY LIGHT WIND COMING IN OUT OF THE EAST THROUGHOUT THE DAY. SO OVERALL, EXPECT A REALLY NICE, REALLY BEAUTIFUL START TO THE WEEK. SO WE’RE TRACKING TEMPERATURES IN THE 50S AS WE HEAD INTO THIS AFTERNOON AGAIN, EXPECTING PLENTY OF SUNSHINE. NOW TONIGHT CLOUDS ARE GOING TO START TO BE ON THE INCREASE WITH OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPS FALLING INTO THE 30S TO RIGHT AROUND 40 FOR PLACES CLOSER TO THE WATER LIKE ANNAPOLIS, AROUND 40 DEGREES THERE NOW HEADING INTO TUESDAY, TOMORROW CLOUDS ARE GOING TO BE ON THE INCREASE, BUT WE WILL REMAIN DRY THROUGHOUT THE DAY ON TUESDAY. TUESDAY NIGHT COULD SNEAK IN A COUPLE OF SHOWERS AND THEN IT TURNS UNSETTLED WEDNESDAY, AS WELL AS THURSDAY. SO LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT’S GOING ON ON FUTURECAST. WE’VE GOT A PRETTY ACTIVE SYSTEM BRINGING SOME ONGOING SNOWFALL ALSO IN THE ROCKIES, BUT ANOTHER SYSTEM INTO PLACES LIKE MINNESOTA AS WELL AS MICHIGAN AND THIS FRONT IS GOING TO BE SWINGING THROUGH HERE WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY. NOW BEFORE THE FRONT COMPLETELY MAKES AN EXIT. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ALONG THE COAST OF THE CAROLINAS, AND THAT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR POTENTIALLY BRINGING US SOME RAIN AS WE HEAD INTO OPENING DAY. THE BIG QUESTION IS HOW FAR WILL THIS WESTWARD EXTENT OF RAIN BE BY THE TIME THAT WE HAVE FIRST PITCH, IT’S POSSIBLE THAT IT COULD BE FAR ENOUGH TO THE SOUTH AND EAST THAT WE GET TO ENJOY DRY WEATHER FOR THE GAME, BUT FOR AT LEAST THE MORNING HOURS, WE’VE DEFINITELY GOT SOME RAIN IN THE FORECAST FOR OPENING DAY. LET’S CROSS OUR FINGERS THOUGH. MOVES OUT IN TIME FOR FIRST PITCH. HERE’S A LOOK AT YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. SO WE’RE DEFINITELY EXCITED BECAUSE IT FEELS LIKE A MARYLAND HOLIDAY. NOT JUST MARYLAND DAY TODAY, BUT OPENING DAY THIS WEEK. REALLY EXCITING STUFF. WE’RE GOING TO KEEP TRACKING THOSE SHOWER CHANCES WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND. A LITTLE BIT OF A WARM UP AND WE CAN’T RULE OUT AN ISOLATED SHOWER CHANCE EA

Meteorologist Chelsea Ingram says it is going to be sunny and gentle as temps will attain the mid 50’s with a light-weight breeze to start out the week. We will see some cloud cowl Tuesday nevertheless it ought to stay dry. The subsequent rain appears to be like like Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. It needs to be heat in the mid 50’s nevertheless it could possibly be rain for the Orioles Opening Day. The weekend will see mostly sunny skies as temps will heat up into the low 60’s.
