A break in the clouds on Sunday

Updated: 7:08 PM EDT Apr 6, 2024

NOW YOUR WBAL-TV 11 WEATHER FORECAST WITH METEOROLOGIST TONY PANN. WELL, IT CERTAINLY HASN’T BEEN A GREAT START TO THE MONTH WEATHER WISE FOR BALTIMORE, BUT IT IS GOING TO IMPROVE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. WE’VE GOT SOME SUNSHINE IN THE FORECAST AND EVENTUALLY THE TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO WARM UP. TODAY. AT LEAST IT STAYED DRY, WAS CHILLY, BUT NO PRECIPITATION. THE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS ONLY 56, THOUGH. AT BWI MARSHALL, THE AVERAGE HIGH NOW IS 63. THE RECORD FOR TODAY 90, WAS SET BACK IN 1929. IT’S STILL A LITTLE BREEZY AND COOL OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. AS I MENTIONED AT THE TOP OF THE SHOW. SO IF YOU’RE HEADING OUT ON THIS SATURDAY EVENING, MAYBE A LIGHT JACKET STILL IN ORDER, 54 DEGREES, TOP OF THE HOUR, A WEST NORTHWEST WIND AT 15. NOW THOSE WINDS ARE GOING TO DIMINISH OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, BUT AT LEAST FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS, IT’S GOING TO STAY ON THE BREEZY SIDE. EVENTUALLY WE’RE GOING TO GET THESE TEMPERATURES TO DROP BACK ALL THE WAY INTO THE MID TO UPPER 30S. IN SOME PLACES. IT’S 52 RIGHT NOW IN WESTMINSTER, 55 IN CENTERVILLE, AND IT’S 53 DEGREES TOP OF THE HOUR AND WOODBINE. RAIN AND SNOW IS PRETTY CLOSE TO US. WE JUST HAD A FEW SCATTERED CLOUDS TODAY, BUT THERE WAS SOME RAIN AND SNOW UP IN NEW ENGLAND. THEY’RE GETTING SOME CHILLY RAIN SHOWERS IN BOSTON RIGHT NOW, BUT IF WE EXPAND THE VIEW, LOOK OFF TO THE WEST. YOU SEE, IT’S PRETTY QUIET. THIS IS WHERE OUR WEATHER IS COMING FROM. SO AT LEAST FOR THE NEXT DAY OR TWO, WE DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANY PRECIPITATION. SO LET’S TAKE OUR FUTURE CAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND INTO THE BEGINNING OF THE WORKWEEK TOMORROW MORNING. IT SHOULD BE DRY AND CHILLY. TEMPERATURES MIGHT GET DOWN CLOSE TO FREEZING IN SOME PLACES UP NEAR THE PENNSYLVANIA LINE. 40 IN BALTIMORE. SAME THING IN ANNAPOLIS, BUT IT IS GOING TO BE COLD FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR TO START THE DAY TOMORROW, BUT WE SHOULD SEE PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, MAYBE A FEW SCATTERED CLOUDS THAT WILL PUSH THE TEMPERATURES INTO THE UPPER 50S AND LOW 60S IN THE AFTERNOON. AND THEN MONDAY, OF COURSE, IS THE BIG ECLIPSE. THERE WILL BE A SYSTEM COMING IN FROM THE WEST AND MIGHT THROW A FEW CLOUDS OUR WAY, BUT I THINK IT WILL STAY DRY. WE’LL START IN THE 30S MONDAY MORNING. THE ECLIPSE PEAKS AT 320 IN THE AFTERNOON. IT’S NOT GOING TO BE A PERFECTLY CLEAR SKY, BUT THERE’LL BE SOME BREAKS IN THE OVERCAST. I THINK WE’LL GET A LOOK AT IT AT LEAST. AND THE HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE MID 60S, SO WARMER, CLEAR TO PARTLY CLOUDY TONIGHT. CHILLY TEMPERATURES RANGE BETWEEN 34 AND 41 DEGREES. SUNSET THIS EVENING IS AT. 736. DURING THE DAY TOMORROW I’M GOING TO CALL IT MOSTLY SUNNY, BUT THERE’LL BE A FEW HIGH THIN CLOUDS AROUND. COOL, BUT I THINK IT’LL FEEL BETTER THAN TODAY BECAUSE WE’LL HAVE LESS WIND. THE HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 57 AND 62 DEGREES. SEVEN DAY FORECAST A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS ON MONDAY. SO AGAIN, NOT PERFECT VIEWING CONDITIONS FOR THE ECLIPSE, BUT DOABLE. THE HIGH TEMPERATURE 65. GET UP CLOSE TO 70 ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. THAT’LL FEEL NICE, BUT BIG SURPRISE. WE’VE GOT A LITTLE RAIN IN THE FORECAST AT THE END OF THE WEEK. OFF AND ON, SHOWERS AND MAYBE A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY A
