U.S. News & World Report evaluated the nation’s high schools based mostly on weighted standards: faculty readiness (weighted 30%), state evaluation proficiency (20%), state evaluation efficiency (20%), faculty curriculum breadth (10%), underserved pupil efficiency (10%), and commencement fee (10%).
Eastern Technical High School ranked first within the state for school readiness, fifth for school curriculum breadth, third for state evaluation proficiency, fifth for state evaluation efficiency, and first for commencement fee (tying with Walt Whitman High School, Poolesville High School, and Thomas S. Wootton High School on that final criterion).
