A person was hospitalized after falling over 20 toes onto the sphere throughout a Pittsburgh Pirates residence game at PNC Park on Wednesday.
Pittsburgh Police stated early Thursday the unidentified man was in critical condition after medics handled him on the outfield warning observe. The game was delayed by about 10 minutes whereas emergency responders offered therapy.

The membership confirmed that the Cubs and Pirates athletic coaching groups, together with PNC Park personnel, responded instantly and administered care.
“Our ideas and prayers are with him and his household,” the Pirates stated in a press release.
It is unclear what triggered him to go over the railing and onto the sphere. Video of the incident confirmed the person, who was seated in the entrance row, flipping a number of occasions in the air whereas falling to the bottom.
Safety officers say the incident is being handled as “unintentional” in nature.
